MIAM! The sustainable food festival
Organized by the GoodPlanet foundation, the "MIAM" festival in Paris is open to everyone who’s curious, intrigued or passionate about ethical food and sustainable agriculture (“Miam!” is the French equivalent of “yum!”). Every weekend from September the 7th to 22nd, visitors will be able to attend free activities and workshops.
Group cooking classes, farmer's markets, presentations, conferences and workshops for children are all part of the festival’s fun and flavourful program.
The goal is to encourage sustainable eating without skimping on pleasure and conviviality. The festival will also be forum for conversation and debate about the food of tomorrow.
On the menu:
• September 7-8: Activities related to vegetable plots and permaculture, access to organic products and aromatic plants, cooking classes, food debates and even a concert by a gardener-musician!
• September 14-15: Solutions for better eating proposed by the sustainable food village and its positive initiatives. Plus exchanges about "how to eat eco-responsibly in restaurants" and how to decipher food labels and lists of ingredients. Meanwhile, the “Seed Tour” photo exhibition puts wild seeds under the spotlight
• September 21-22: A conference/aperitif will allow you to take a voyage through time and taste, while a cooking demo will also be on offer.
